But today, Ashley Fuller, a Gallup certified strengths coach at a Big Four accounting firm, explores the unique challenges that her industry faces, what it means to be a CliftonStrengths coach and how to find joy in the profession. Her passion for developing people’s natural abilities has been the cure to prevent becoming too hyperfocused on goals resulting in company burnout. Listen to Ashley as she tells stories of founders she’s helped and explores her experience in the Royal Telos program.

  • Welcome to another episode of Coaching Excellence, where we explore the question: How does one become an excellent coach?

Today, Bonnie speaks with Ashley Fuller, a Gallup-certified strengths coach that honed her skills by going through Royal Telos’ credentialed training program.

Ashley started her career as a forensic accountant and has over a decade of experience working with consulting teams at a big four accounting firm. Her success as a consultant was a direct result of her inclusive leadership style and focus on natural strengths.

Now she practices a solution-focused coaching style that develops talent and colleague engagement, and guides leaders on how to direct team members’ strengths toward reaching individual and collective goals.

Ashley has a passion for working with founders and helping them develop team culture. She shares why it’s important to have a strong foundation of trust, empathy and respect within teams, and describes her personal joy whenever she gets to watch founders and leaders expand their perspective.

Bonnie and Ashley discuss the importance of creating space for teams to discover each others’ strengths.

One challenge in the industry that Ashley feels isn’t addressed enough is: a hyper focus on one goal, without making sure to get there there in the most efficient and collaborative way. She coaches leaders to include each team member, learn their strengths and talents (natural genius zones), and develop their people. This helps a company avoid burnout and fortify itself against losing talent.
